"AFL Dream Team" Announced; Dance Director Named

TULSA, Okla. – After nearly three months of fan voting, the Arena Football League announced the winners of “AFL Dream Team,” today.

“AFL Dream Team” is composed of one dancer from each AFL team who will perform at ArenaBowl XXIV.  “AFL Dream Team” will also make appearances during the ArenaBowl Championship Week.  

“’AFL Dream Team’ adds even more excitement and entertainment for our fans at ArenaBowl,” Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz said. 

36 dancers (two in each market) competed for a spot on “AFL Dream Team.” Fans could vote on one dancer per team, once a day on ArenaFootball.com. The dancers with the most votes on each team were selected as members of “AFL Dream Team.” The following dancers are the 2011 AFL Dream Team members:

Brianne- Arizona Rattlers

Brittanie- Chicago Rush

Heather- Cleveland Gladiators

Allison- Dallas Vigilantes

Kiley- Georgia Force

Emily- Iowa Barnstormers

Randi- Jacksonville Sharks

Niesha- Kansas City Command

Danielle- Milwaukee Mustangs

Jasmine- New Orleans VooDoo

Gizelle- Orlando Predators

Alexandra- Philadelphia Soul

Meghan- Pittsburgh Power

Autumn- San Jose SaberCats

Jackie- Spokane Shock

Sasha- Tampa Bay Storm

Andrea- Tulsa Talons

Hailee- Utah Blaze

Arizona Rattlers’ Co-Dance Director, Angie Baker, has been selected as the 2011 AFL Dream Team Director and Choreographer.    

Baker has been involved in the cheerleading and dance industry for almost 20 years, including cheering for the Arizona Rattlers and Arizona Cardinals (NFL). 

“It is an honor to be selected to direct the AFL Dream Team for 2011.   It's great to be back with the ArenaBowl after being a part of the Dream Team in 2007.  The AFL has done an amazing job highlighting the game's best entertainment and providing wonderful opportunities for these dancers.  I'm looking forward to working with the AFL's best dancers and putting on a great show for Arena Bowl XXIV,” Baker said.
