That’s exactly what happened. These guys don’t quit. Last year, I didn’t feel like we were tested. I just kept talking about being battle tested the past few weeks. Tonight was a perfect example of that.”

[On his performance] “I was just happy that I was able to make a play for my team. I was seeing the ball and just attacked the ball.”

[On preparation and film] “We knew they like to throw the ball to a certain point. Whenever I tried to breakup a pass, I would go under it. When the ball was in the air, I would jump my highest.”

[On switching to safety] “I played the safety position early in the season so I was used to it. I spoke with Virgil Gray before the game about techniques. He gave me advice and I felt comfortable about it.”

[On the switch] “I know the team was counting on me to make a couple of big plays. I was happy I was able to make those.”

[Opening statement] “I just want to give all the credit to the Rattlers, they played a great game. They were well prepared. They have amazing coaching staff and amazing players who play at a high level consistently throughout the game As exciting as it as to get to this ArenaBowl, the last thing we want to do is lose it after having a great regular season and fighting through the playoffs. As far our teams concern, other than points, it is turnovers in Arena Football, if your at the bottom side of that margin, its very difficult to get back in the games. I thought we were well prepared and ready to play, but early on getting behind as far as we did we had to scrap our game plan and try to make it up on on side kicks, which didn’t prove to be successful.”

[On the turnovers] “There were a lot of things. We performed poorly in all three phases of the game. The onside kicks that we tried to utilize to get back in the game were unsuccessful. Pop ups were hitting the walls and we were inconsistent in our PATs. When we fail in those areas it just drops the energy level on our sideline.”

[On the loss] “I thought I didn’t play well enough for us to win. I thought we were well prepared and I have to give it to Arizona.  They executed well and made their plays when the ball was in the air.”

[On being down] “When were down by that much, you have to take advantage of what you’re given and we just weren’t able to do that.”

[On his performance] “It’s just tough to win when your quarterback isn’t playing very well.”
