Storm to Host Fan Appreciation Night

TAMPA BAY– The final home game for the 2012 AFL season is Fan Appreciation Night presented by Bright House Sports Network as the Tampa Bay Storm hosts the New Orleans VooDoo on Amalie Motor Oil Field at the Tampa Bay Times Forum Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 PM.

“This has been an exciting season,” said team president Derrick Brooks.  “We still have much work to do, but we accomplished a great deal over this past year.  From the logo and uniform change, to the improvements at the Times Forum, to a reinvigorated fan base and re-launch of the Storm Surge Fan Club the organization is heading in a direction that the Ninth Man, our fans, can be proud of.  We can’t wait to see a big crowd partner with us and cheer us on as we make a run towards the playoffs this Saturday against the VooDoo as we continue to build a stronger team together with the fans.”

The first 2,500 fans will receive a Storm draw-string backpack courtesy of Bright House Sports Network.  The team will also feature rolled back pricing at the concession stands as fans can take advantage of $1 hot dogs, sodas and beers from the time doors open until kickoff at 7:30 PM.  Children will receive free cotton candy throughout the game while supplies last.

Also, season 11 American Idol Finalist Shannon Magrane will sing the national anthem, as well as perform a song at half-time.  Ms. Magrane will sign autographs at section 130 on the promenade concourse during the third quarter.  Meanwhile, Jeremy Vanderloop will perform live with a band during the post-game autograph session.

Additionally, the Third Annual Dodge Ball for a Cause will take place at the Times Forum on Amalie Motor Oil Field prior to the Storm game.  The proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Tampa Police Athletic League.

Finally fans can still participate in the 30 great prizes in 30 days program by purchasing 2013 season tickets until the completion of the game.
