In Week 13, Philadelphia Soul FB Derrick Ross was selected the National Guard MVP of the Week.
This week's candidates include Philadelphia Soul WR Donovan Morgan, San Jose SaberCats DL Joe Sykes and Georgia Force WR Larry Shipp.
The Case for Morgan
Morgan caught nine passes for 153 yards and four touchdowns in the team’s 69-62 victory over Milwaukee in Week 14. Morgan has hauled in seven touchdowns since returning from injury three weeks ago.
The Case for Sykes
Sykes had 2.5 sacks and an interception he returned 43 yards for a touchdown in San Jose’s 51-34 victory over the Orlando Predators in Week 14. His 2.5 sacks were enough to break the single-season franchise record for sacks, set at 13 in the year 2000 by AFL Hall of Famer Sam Hernandez.
The Case for Shipp
Shipp scored touchdowns by rushing, receiving and passing the ball in Week 14. He finished with 13 receptions for 167 yards and three receiving touchdowns to go with a rushing score and passing touchdown. He leads the Force in scoring with 182 points.
